    Why can't they they where they are? Many other European people do just that.
    It was the Normans coming from France that were into colonisation. From Britain they went to Ireland. They also colonised parts of Italy.

    Britain wouldn't have been the Empire that it became. Normans were a big part of this.

    Yes, that's right. I'm not saying those countries didn't do it but the UK is by far one of the most successful colonizers, and for that you have to be very aggressive, which I think is the issue.
