I've expected that Czechia is gonna top the list by far, knowing the local community, though I don't drink beer pretty much at all. What's more fascinating to me is Namibia being so high on the list.

Russia drinks much more beer than vodka, unlike it is considered to be. I dunno what's worse anyway. Northern/Eastern European drinking culture (no matter of alco extremeness) is inferior to Southern European one anyway. Southern Russia/Ukraine has some historical Southern European tendencies with drinking more wine/quality spirits.ю. Like foreigners have prejudices about Russia to be a country of excessive drinkers, we have stereotypes on Finns and Baltic people, least of all Poles, to be so, without social reasons for it.

Source: Kirin Holding by the way. Interesting that is no Belgium in the top and Great Britain (i understand that a lot of brits in the wine and spiritts). Russia practically does not grow hops, and those crumbs that are go mainly to pharmaceuticals, while the number of vineyards is growing significantly.

No Belgium. It's probably false then.

I think it might not be a problem of "how much you drink" or "what you drink" but more of "how you drink".

Everything matters, both quality and culture. There's no much culture in England for example, getting wasted on piss called beer.

Yes, when I said it I had in mind the English, who become obnoxious and unpleasant when they drink too much . I don't know exactly how you Russians tend to be when you drink, but despite the fact that you have quite a reputation as drinkers, I think your way of getting drunk is more "introspective".

But I don´t know if I am right about this.

Romania stronk there and the region of Moldova alone would rank even better probably, as we do most of the drinking in the country for sure our regional average is well above the country one

My father went to Moldova in early 70s for years for vacations, for top wine when every villager had almost a winery and beautiful girls all around. He got tired from it and went to Odessa in late 80s where he met my mom and so here I am
