It began around 12 thousand years ago with the end of the Wurmian glaciation and the advent of the Neolithic. This period witnessed innovations, technological developments and migrations that all contributed to the genetic foundations of the modern world. Holocene is therefore a test aimed at capturing and estimating the populations that distinguish the "building blocks" of your modern identity. The test is globally effective while being more detailed for Europe, Central and Western Asia and the Mediterranean.
