I can't really say that I get any "Indian" vibes from him. Even though he is Kashmiri, iirc. I'd place him firmly in the Iranian side of things. He could easily have disguised himself as an Iranian cleric and gone Rambo on the whole Khomeini regime! (hmm, might be an idea for a fanfic, lol).

There's something a little ... vampiric about him, maybe the combination of the sticky-out-ears, the flared nostrils and the arched eyebrows. I used to try and arch mine but they're way too bushy for the proper effect.
