Taoism is one of major superstitions in the world, its insensivitiy toward human vices makes it a tool of religious deception for 2000 years and a token of general religious ignorance of the chinese people. Like a fake plastic religion to replace the true religion.

The second photo reminds me of a Chinese man in a martial art suit I once saw in the supermarket in Alice.

His skin was so yellow, it was unearthly yellow and his eyes were the bluest blue!
As he went past me, I felt/sensed no energy-field at all … Talk about an iron-shirt or something (???)

The local Taoist priest in town reckoned this man was no longer living on this earth.
Didn’t know what to make of it – but weird it was.

Reminds me of Fu Manchu, taoism deals a lot with manipulating ones own or others lives, like dealing curses and buying lucks, very much voodoo style. I guess all people before being educated properly are all like that, superstitious but the power of fear is real.

There are many good elements of east asian cultures, like muey thai and tibetan book of death also mentions fighting against devils in spiritual form after death(a teaching in courage), also Buddhist metaphysic is probably the best outside Christian traditions. Buddhism provides a major bright profile to all asian cultures.

In some cases taoist practioners did create some great things like some herbal extracts like Artemisinin, whose herbal source is now considered as first discovered by a taoist master in ancient China. But most of them are peddlers of dark magics and cheats, I have little doubt that some of them could be collecting dark magics from all over the world and make them a part of the new generation taoist tradition.
