The indigenous population of Northern Greece never changed their language.

The indigenous people of Fyrom and Bulgaria changed their languages with the Slavic invasions, those who were not exterminated adopted a Slavic identity.

Also some 100,000 Greeks of Fyrom have been forced to adopt the Serbobulgarian language of Fyrom.

There is zero evidence that Ancient Macedonians were not Greek or that they were mixed with non Greek tribes. The fact that there was some Thracian or Dacian merceneries in their army does not make them a mixed tribe.

The Romans too had Greek, Thracian and other mercenaries in their army, and there were Greek and Thracian mercenaries in the Persian army too as it was common in ancient times.

It is well documented that Ancient Macedonians were Dorian and Argives and that they never changed the tongue, let slone to a Slavic one.

Slavs, Turks or Bulgarians were never characterised as Macedonians. The term Macedonian never included the more recent Slavic people, evidently because they retained their own ethnic particularity (language, religion, culture, etc.) and more important still their independence from the Byzantine rule.

Thus, for example, in no case could any Bulgars, Slavs or Turks who were known to have settled in the region after a certain period (and who indeed became the permanent residents) ever be described as Macedonians.
