I just returned from a road trip in Thrace and Samothrace, some observations:

-You indeed get some goridish type that you don't get in the Greek North-West. They lack somewhat the Dinaric tsopanovoskos big nose ugly alpha type. I was speaking English to some people but they turned out to be Greek locals.

-Not particularly light-haired, I would say that the Epirotic realm is blonder but undoubtedly light-eyed for Greek standards.

-Rather tall, not giants but noticeably compared to the Greek average.

-Not egoistic and "friendly" sweet talkers like the people of the Epirotic reich and of course the marketeers of the South Aegean. They don't boast that much about their place and traditions.
