Her haunting vocals mix well with the isolating almost mechanical sound of the synthesizer.

I get a Chris and Cosey vibe... an obscure eighties band I found in my uncle's vinyl.

I can play the keyboard and I have tried doing some mixing with FL Studio.
I recorded some attempts at rapping when I was a teenager but nothing more since then.

Edit: Almost forgot that I 3D printed this Ocarina

And that I built some DIY Theremins

But I never really learned to play them.
    Thank you!

    Nice!

I've never heard of a Theremin before. That is crazy.

Seems like it'd be really difficult to learn.

    I'm glad you think so

I just listened to Chris and Cosey. I like it, especially their Techno Primitiv album.

I picked up a synthesizer a couple years ago. I don't know how to play any other instruments, but I have had fun messing around and trying to learn the Roland JD-Xi.
I haven't played it in a year. Once the rain returns, I will most likely start playing it again. I feel more creative in autumn and winter.

For years I've been a metal vocalist for multiple projects and bands, but I have not worked on any metal in 3 years.

This is a metal song I wrote and did the vocals.

    The Peak; https://soundcloud.com/lunarinvasion...social_sharing

I didn't write this one. It is an intro for one of our songs. This was composed by my good friend. He is a very talented violinist. He worked on the previous song, The Peak. We actually recorded an entire album together with him playing first acoustically, then on an electric violin, but in the end we switched to midi keyboard. https://soundcloud.com/lunarinvasion...social_sharing

This is the first song I wrote on my synthesizer. I had fun experimenting with singing and all the awesome sounds that you can create with the Roland JD-Xi.

This was the last song I recorded.

    not bad at all

Take me with you ,remember me all the 80's electropop sounds ,sound a bit like NEW ORDER,but you have a huge problem of tracks mixing, your drum box track is very too loud, and your voice is under the hearing volume of your chords if you plug your material into your computer be very carefull of the volume level entry ,you need too isolate your tracks,or if you have the internal tracks mixer you need to set a different dynamic between your voice ,the chords track(s) and your beats, your beats are a bit too strong and goes over your voice, and them track by track of one decibel/half decibel, your voice is not bad at all in a kind of darkwave/electropop mood/style

use a track mixer like AUDACITY for example, if you need to re-work your amplitude/decibel level of your tracks

pure metal without electronics is really not my thing ,"too messy" and "too rock" and after 3 minutes really fucking boring me, i listen a lot of of crossover and at the crossroads of electro-metal/electro-rock/electro-industrial/Electro Body Music/electro-pop etc

like these masterpieces by GRENDEL (not the metal band of the same name) for example ,with a perfect balance between electronics and metal guitar

Thanks! Yeah, I am still learning the best ways to record. I like Audacity. I use it a lot. Thanks for your feedback. It's all stuff that i've noticed, too.

Killing Joke ,really? not at all we are at ten miles of the harcore post punk/new wave/industrial metal of Killing Joke, the poor Jaz Coleman couldn't sing anymore,he's almost voiceless on stage
i had seen them, once , the 1994 11 Dec in Paris for the PANDEMONIUM tour

you should to re-listen Killing Joke for this

I'm just as good , if not better. My voice is described as angelic by most.

I feel the music is nice, but it's rather cold and aloof sounding. I prefer more acoustic instruments with lyrics about real life and that have meaning.

Yes, it's pretty easy. It's one of those instruments that's easy to learn, but hard to master. There are numerous strumming patterns you can do with it and some can pick out distinct melodies.

    You're definitely way better.

Edit to add: Have you written any new music lately?
