This guy speaks Bicolano as his first language. I don't know if he speaks Spanish. He also speaks Tagalog, but this video is in Bicolano. There's a lot of Spanish words in this language

This guy, even when he's speaking English, he sounds like a working-class Filipino. He doesn't have an upper-class accent. And he also speaks Tagalog in the video. He speaks Taglish like a regular urban Filipino

The lady on the right, her first languages are Bisaya and Spanish. But I have never heard her speak Spanish. In the video she's speaking Tagalog and English. So she knows 4 languages

He has the typical Spanish mestizo accent in English
    Very interesting and culturally rich

Their Spanish was similar to Mexico's Spanish, they should have Filipinos study in Mexico and learn the language, and have them reconnect with their Mexican heritage and culture. Most Filipinos have a Mexican ancestor, at least that is what some Filipinos on Reddit claim

Most Spanish-Filipinos today like the ones posted on this thread don't really have Mexican ancestry. They're more descended from Basques who came to the Philippines from the mid 1800s until WW2. Spain didn't have any colonies left besides Philippines, Cuba, and PR. So that's when some Spaniards began migrating directly to the Philippines. But early 1800s and further back is when Mexicans were coming to the Philippines. That Mexican ancestry is in a lot (maybe most) Filipinos but it's very distant ancestry now. But the minority of Filipinos with a lot of Spanish blood are mostly from Basque families.

Yes but in order to keep Spanish language alive in the Philippines you will need to have Mexico involved, a lot of Filipinos are more interested and admire Mexican culture and people more than they do for Spaniards and Spain. If Mexico accepted exchange students from the Philippines to study, those students would learn Spanish, and it will be a start of reintroducing Spanish back into your country.

Filipinos don't really have an interest in either Spain or Mexico tbh. Mexican media was popular in the 90s but it's not popular anymore. Spanish media was never popular. Some Filipinos are learning Spanish now, but it's really only call center workers trying to make more money. It's not really for cultural reasons.

Mexican food is becoming somewhat popular in the cities, but Spanish food is still more popular, and there are more Spanish/Basque restaurants in Manila than Mexican. Filipino food has elements of both Spanish and Mexican food though.

And lastly, a lot more Filipinos live in Spain than in Mexico. Spain makes it easy for Filipinos to become citizens. Mexico doesn't really have any Filipinos. That migration was centuries ago.
