The oldest I would identify with is the Battle Axe culture. Germanentum sits at the height of my identity because it has provided my culture upbringing male lineage religion and language; and even the Britannic ancestry I harbor is of a very similar build ultimately being differentiated by Gallic admixture and cultural diffusion. As for who I look like, I'm not sure probably Bell beakers would be the closest ancient group.

Late roman Lusitanian at the moment if I'm being weirdly specific. But I guess Lusitanians in general... as my whole family on g25 is quite close to these late roman "lusitanian" samples. We'd have to get earlier lusitanian samples to really say how close modern Portuguese are for certain. But the fact that even pre-moorish time samples fit me just as well as modern Portuguese samples is exceptional.

Grammatically confusing question. The most ancient population you identify with or the ancient population you identify with most? What you identify with isn't necessarily what you most resemble, and what kind of resemblance, genetic, phenotypic or cultural?
    Spoiler!

Mine is purely based on the many, many nMonte tests I've done and always tend to get a mix of Celtic and Viking (ish) results, with a Chinese (SW/Vietnamese) control group. So that's how I see mine.

In some calculators I score a lot of "celtic", so maybe that one, partially at least.
All around me are familiar faces, worn out places, worn out faces
