Yes and another good question would be, why was the Greek Kingdom so small, when it was reconstituted in 1829-1830? I mean it didn't even include Crete or Thesally and other areas like the Aegean Islands etc.

Turks had majority of their army in these areas. Peloponessos is rugged and mountainous with Turkoalbanians being the main military backbone in the area. It was an ideal place to ignite a revolution. It was impossible anywhere else at that time.

I am not interested in hearing how Turks were lied to in school and their media about how they were innocent victims of Greeks, when they only made wars of aggression and committed atrocities, while contributing nothing worthwhile to civilization. I made this thread to discuss what were the real reasons why Constantinople was left to the Turks and why the Reconquista of the Balkans was left incomplete.

Your next thread should be about the most brainwashed populations who think their countries are the best thing ever. I can't think of a couple.
