Vendettas in Northern Albania were largely practiced by Catholics and invented by Catholics. Definitely nothing to do with Islam. I find Albanians who are devout Muslims as actually more honest and peaceful people unless they get brainwashed and turn into extremist wahabist jihadist (which are a minority anyway)
