I know about concerning news from Hungary but i never hear complaints about their democracy from Hungarians themselves.

These peoples are exist mostly in the Reddit comment section, and in the reality they can't gather 1000 protester. At last time there was "farmer demonstration" in Budapest, the opposition media reported that there will bring hundreds of tractor to Budapest to block the city, here is the revolution etc etc, and what do you think how many tractor have arrived to Budapest? ZERO And how many protesters? Less than 1000 and they were not even farmers. This is just one story, but they are playing this game month per month.

Now there is an economic crises in Hungary but all the same Orbáns popularity has grown. Why? Not because Orbán is good, but i guarantee that you have never seen such losers like these opposition politicians. The black knight from Monty Python is nothing compared to them. We are talking about 7-8 mini parties who are in coalition against Orbán but they hate and kill each other more.

What was the oppositionist reactions about in the begining of migration? Migration doesnt exist, Orbán is lying there are no migrants in Balkans and wont be.

What was the oppositionist reactions about Covid? Complete lockdown, stop the complete economy, basic income for everyone doesnt matter Hungary will collapse in economic crisis, total healthcare dictatorship.

Opposition politicians supported the romanian, slovak parties against the hungarian parties in election.

Opposition politicians protested against anti-pedo laws.

They are lobbying in Brussels to punish Hungary with more radical methods.

What was the oppositionist reactions about ukrainian war? Hungary must give its complete military capacity for ukrainians, even sending hungarian soldiers too if its needed.

And after that they are surprised that they cant win an election after 12 years and they are crying that there is no democracy in Hungary. They are the biggest losers in the world, but really.

Many EE are quite judgemental towards westerners, and don't want to associate with them.

Also, the type of politics that Hungary has is common in eastern Europe. Even the most socialist people say similar things, but it just wasn't an issue back then.

This applies to Balts too, despite ethnicity.

Right, and the supposed advantage about being wealthier isn't really one either because one thing is comparing yourself with your family who stayed back home and the other with the natives of your current country, where the immigrant will most likely be the bottom of society even though enjoying a higher standard of living compared to those who stayed in the homeland.

People may be against immigration of exact groups of people. For example, lots of Serbians dislike refugees, just like Russians dislike middle Asian migrants. But both are ok with when Serbs live in Russia and Russians live in Serbia. And so on.

Alien cultures, religions are considered to be targeted by those who are against immigration, for example, hardcore anti immigrant Russians welcomed migration of Boer families from south Africa to Krasnodar region, they were warmly welcomed. Its difficult. Hungarian left had its own anti-russian hysteria, but i think majority of hungarians have positive opinion on russians. To be honest Hungary has never been such pro-russian than now.
