Loool once religion is removed, morality becomes subjective in many areas. Only the golden rules carry over universally. Your argument doesn’t hold up.

It can be either of those reasons depending on the State in question: in Alabama it is more likely due to the former, in California more likely due to the latter etc.

In fact, I can remember when the feminist lesbian PM of Iceland banned prostitution, stripping and lapdancing, a Guardian journalist wrote "I am glad that such a ban exists for feminist reasons, rather than religious ones". Furthermore, here in the UK, the late campaigner for censorship Mary Whitehouse has undergone a partial rehabilitation - often among the Left. Although at the time she was seen as a Christian right-winger, due to her campaigns against sex, swearing and 'vulgarity', nowadays she'd be at least equally at home with some radical feminists, due to their shared hatred of pornography, prostitution and sexual permissiveness in general.

How is this surprising? Feminism at its core is about controlling male sexuality and access to sex. This is why feminists don’t want to build their own shit. They demand that you let them into what men have built, more female roles, more females into stem, more females into “choose x”.

This is done thru devaluing male labor therefore devaluing male sexual market value. Creating misandrist laws, which is the main reason why prostitution is illegal.

Ironically, it is feminists - whether 'sex-positive' or not - who have always argued that patriarchy is all about controlling female sexuality and access to sex.

All the same, although I am fairly libertarian on most social issues, I am more than a little disturbed by the fact that a lot of forum members seem more relaxed at the prospect of their daughter becoming a sex worker than their daughter marrying a Black man! (Discussions about miscegenation on this forum usually bring up far more angry responses than this thread or other related ones do).

May I just say I admire and respect you and Teutone for your consistency and principles, even if I don't fully agree with your views. By contrast, it seems that lots of other men here take the "have their cake and eat it" approach when it comes to their attitudes towards women and sex.
