You know, you try to eat dinner at restaurant with family and wives in peace but group nearby is so loud. Which country has loudest people at table on average?

It is a tie between Spaniards and Italians.

They say it's Italians. but when I had dinner with the family of an ex-girlfriend that was max. 1/4 Italian, 1/4 German and the rest Portuguese/Amerindian Brazilian mixture were insufferably louder than my family. I have never seen any South Italian family to compare though, they seem to be more obnoxious than us.

But yeah, Italians are usually pretty animated when it comes to family gatherings and feasts.

I notice with my family in restaurants they will speak in a normal tone but in gatherings inside the home they are loud as fuck trying to talk over each other. My mother is the worst offender. She yells to the point where I have to tell her to lower her voice and a couple of times I got up and left because I couldn't handle it. You're trying to eat and you're going deaf. Yet, in public they're self aware and keep their voices down.

As a group Spaniards are pretty damn loud.

Southern Europeans, Greeks are usually loud from my experience.
My family aren’t particularly loud unless there is a large gathering.
