Great statesman who massively lifted Hungarian economy, society and spirit, but he has been in power for too long.

Orban is in a decline and negative aspects of his rule like hypercurruption and oligarchy now started to outweigh the positive ones.

If he is smart he should be grooming a heir, Szijjarto for example. But I think he like Putin grew too addicted of his power.

Earned his place in Hungarian history but it's time to step down and like most of charismatic leaders he does not want to see that.

He is not smart enough. These past couple of years he got rid of all the younger, clever and ambitious Fidesz politicians and its just the simple easily governable idiots + highly corrupt gangsters around him who wouldnt want to take his place. He would do anything to keep his position, no matter what.

Most of my Hungarian friends either like him or at least neutral. So i believe he isnt as bad as media tells.

I personally like him for attending Turkic Council meetings.
