    That a serious question?
No one beats mama in terms of cooking. (Except grandma, ofc)

My moms cooking got better as we got older lol.
I don’t mean to toot my own horn but I think I’ve surpassed her.

Any random person off the street can cook better than my mother. The bar is low.

8-9/10. My mother had a lot of free time in her life to devote it to improving her cooking skills. Minus 1 point for the fact that the mother is often distracted during the process by watching TV or talking with her friends and salting food 2 times instead of once.
Maternal grandma - 6-7/10. Interesting, but simpler than mom. But, unlike her daughter, she loved to cook pastries and she did it very well.
Dad - 5/10. Simple soldier's dishes, but with enthusiasm. Rough in general.
Me - 5.5/10. Almost the same as dad, a bit more refined and with slightly modern approach.
Wife - 7/10. She also has a lot of free time to improve her skills, but it will take a long time to gain experience to the level of my mother.

Mother: 8/10. Good basics, very good desserts.
Maternal grandma: 9/10. I've never had any minced meat as good as the ones she prepares. But she does not like to cook, so she only does lunch.
Paternal grandma: 10/10. She had a gas station restaurant in the town/village. Polenta, Bistecca, Crostoli, steaks in the oven, even her plain white rice was good. Only did basic desserts that were very good too.
Sister: 5/10. Does everything well, but cooking
Father: 8/10. Grills like a king and knows how to do the basics.
Me: 6/10. I make very good pasta, steak and sauces. But it's only the necessary.

What is basic food in Russia? In Brazil rice, beans, meat and seasoning a salad is enough for someone to be a good cook.

The first course is usually some kind of soup. From simple (from chicken, champignons, peas, lentils, canned fish) to complex (kharcho, borscht, cabbage soup, etc.)
The second course is usually some kind of meat (beef, pork, lamb) with a side dish (rice, buckwheat, potatoes, pasta, etc.) in all sorts of cooking variations (including complex ones, such as pilaf). Once a week - fish.
Optional salad (traditionally - cucumbers and tomatoes with sunflower oil, sometimes with the addition of onions or paprika).

This is the base, not including semi-finished foods and food delivery.
