Sure Apsua aren't extremely close to Kartvelian speakers but they aren't Circassian or Adyghe either. The most close tribe of Circassians is (or was?) the Ubykhs who lived around Sochi area. Afaik they were somewhat intermediate between other Circassians and Apsua.
Abaza are the closest relatives to Apsua but Abaza now have a history of living on the northern slope of Caucasus where they intermingled with other peoples like Circassians.
Do what you should.

Abkhazians are indistinguishable in appearance from Western Georgians (Mingrelians, Imeretians, Gurians) and anthropologically Abkhazians are closer to them. Among them are many former Mingrelians.
Southeastern and southern Georgians (tourists are most often in the southeast and south of Georgia) from Tbilisi (neighboring regions), Kakheti are not considered typical Georgians among Georgians, but the most mixed and there are a lot of foreigners (Armenians, Azerbaijanis, Kurods and others ).
The pigmentation of the Abkhazians is not lighter than that of the Georgians, moreover, they are not lighter than the western Georgians, such as the Imeretians, Gurians and Mingrelians, but even darker.
Percentage of light (blue, gray) eyes in different regions of Georgia.
