I appreciate any calculator but I'm quintessentially "Northwestern" on calculators because that is all I am so I was surprised at the distance but I'm not close to Germans so not surprising that my distances aren't great. You put something like Orcadian, Shetlandic or Icelandic in there and I'd be significantly closer.

Agree with Grace. Would be even closer for me, if something Scando and/or British would be in there. Maybe use the NW Europe reference as seperate Central Europe and use Orkneys or Iceland for NW. Still good distances, thx for the calculator.

Thanks for using the calc, about the references I used to make the NW European yes, there are English, Irish, Welsh, Sottish, Shetland Islands and Orkney Islands for Great Britain and Iceland, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish were there for Scandinavia too.

I don't understand then why it averages out as closest to Germany.
These are the populations I'm closest to so you would think the populations you mentioned above would be closer to me on your calculator but my distance to Northwestern European is 0.03211937 which is quite high.

I guess it depends on what you include with the categories. Anyway I appreciate the calculator HelloGuys and thank you for doing it. I love any discussion on genetic topics so don't take too much heed of me. I was just interested in what was in the Northwestern category.

I promise you that I have added the middle eastern reference, but it seems that the calc prefers the ssa

Yes, my reference that I added in the first post
About the Amerindian if you don't have heritage/roots from Las Americas, then is the genetic relationship that Siberians/Asians and Amerindians had from long ago.Code:Northern_Asian,0.046250078,-0.37492763,0.10631704,-0.015479056,-0.093743889,-0.055748,0.020309233,0.028554111,0.017867167,0.013750656,0.026455944,0.0039754667,-0.0056744,0.0090537111,-0.0040293778,-0.0030404444,-0.000087233333,0.0045453667,0.0090738667,0.0015576778,0.019077922,-0.014260667,0.0049101778,0.0039640889,0.0069827111
