Academically, it's often the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus or the conquest of Istanbul by Ottomans (and the collapse of Byzantine Empire) or the invention of printing and the spread of Reformed Church (Protestantism)

So somewhere between the 15th and 16th century during the Renaissance, which is the transition phase from Middle Ages to Modern Times (Industrial revolution)

only if you integrate the byzantine empire ,something than i don't, i set more the fall of the middle ages at the late middle ages era with the fall of the Capetian dynasty with the crisis of the late middle ages

I suppose that this is the date that the Australians teach, in each country or region it is a different version in a large part of America it is with the arrival of Colom, and in a good part of Europe it is with the end of the Constantinople.

In Germany you have three alternatives, however, I'm not aware of more: 1453, 1492 and 1500. The latter is motivated by having a flat number in the relevant time span. And actually this is what I stick to (1500). Unfortunately there's no such alternative in the poll.
