What's Robert D. Kaplan's accent? I can't figure it out

Kaplan is a dual-citizen that served in the IDF. That might be the source of some confusion.

I think you were listening to the wrong fellow. The presenter, Colin Chapman on the left, clearly has a British accent. Kaplan, in the middle, has a definite American accent, basically New York City but fairly generalized. Friedman by contrast has a very standard American accent with little audible regionalism.
