The thing is we aren't ungrateful, nor are we jealous. Idk ab you but I accept Ronaldo has had a huge influence on Portugal and put us on a map in the last 15 years. And he has been a large influence when our talent was lacking. However... Now our talent is too much for him to be the single man. He has to put his ego aside and accept he isnt as good as he was. When he comes in his touches are garbage, he gives the ball away, he does all his useless moves for no reason. Additionally, he slows down the attack for in box miracles. While, when a talent like Ramos comes in the attack moves so fast the defense of the opposing team can't track them. They can't handle the pressure and high intensity, young, fluid skill of these newer players.

I'm not grateful or ungrateful, he has never done anything for my club and for the national he has never performed to the heights of what he was doing for his clubs. He has never carried us to a major trophy. Euro 2016 was won by a mixture of luck and parking the bus and the best player of the Nations League in 2019 was Bernardo Silva. He has 8 goals in 5 world cups which isn't very impressive, Eusebio scored 9 in just one.

What i'm seeing now is a ageing diva who refuses to leave the big stage even though he shouldn't be there anymore at 37.
