Way better than the shit Nike came up with. Well the colors of our flag aren't the most compatible ever, but Nike took it to a whole other level of distastefulness.

Very happy to see Vasco, my team in Brazil, getting some press in Portugal.
As Italians as me, my father, my uncles and my grandfather are, we are part of this Portuguese-Brazilian brotherhood. A piece of art of a shirt, I love Kappa.
The thing when it comes to Portuguese kits is that the tones have to be darker for it to fit well, and the golden yellow can't be ignored.

Also, why were the colours changed in the flag, from White/Blue to Red/Green? Now I can't really detach Portugal from those colours, and the flag is one of the most beautiful ones in Europe (I drew it a lot as a kid), but historically it was kind of abrupt.

White and blue were the colors of the monarchy, it was the perceived need by Republicans at the time to mark a rupture with the old regime thus why the controversial choice (there were proponents to the blue and white as well) to change the flag's colours.

Concisely the red and green were the colours of the Republican party and also of the Portuguese Carbonária, a secret organization non officially linked with the masonry that supposedly had some involvement or collaboration in the assassination of our king at the time D. Carlos I and his son the prince D. Luís Filipe.
If one take a look at the Carbonária's flag, surely will look familiar.

Interestingly most Portuguese aren't aware of these origins of our flag. Most will associate the red with the spilled blood and the green symbolizing hope. Personally and not having monarchical sympathies, I would prefer still to give sequence to the old tradition and white and blue colours were preferable. But also I'don't make a big deal about it to be fair. It is what it is.

But a WC is 7 games at most. There's no season fatigue, and Dani Alves playing in the Mexican league now is probably well-rested compared to the UCL players who comprise the rest of the team. Also, side defenders are a very scarce position in football nowadays, so Alves still has a bit of an advantage.
