I definitely support it for those with terminal and incurable illness, but I agree that this is definitely going a bit too far.

To be fair, even in those cases, expecting doctors to bear the burden of doing it is a lot to ask for.
They took an oath to either cure or help mitigate the pain and suffering with the help of medicine.
All as a way of saving a human life. Taking a life is not part of the Hippocratic oath.
So, if euthanasia is to be an option, it should be either self-administered, or by next of kin.

You do understand that small kids have parents who have schizophrenia etc.? And they don't want their parents to die, but to get healed from their disorder.
In fact, many of these people are only unlucky to have the illness. They aren't more fucked up than other people, the difference is that you can see their illness, and you cannot see dishonesty.


Mental illness is NOT a reason for assisted suicide. I know people who have had some of the worst forms of mental illnesses and have survived and even thrived. It has more to do with how society treats these people.
