Default What do you think of Messianic Jews?

I receive some email newsletters with texts from messianic jewish books. What do you think of them? Do you like them? Are they Jews? Are they not Jews?

    THE LAW VS. GRACE

In the mind of the author of this Gospel, the Law/Torah was something very good. The reason for this was his Israelite heritage, entrusted to his people Israel by her God and nurtured, treasured and protected for centuries by his people - Israel. If one ignores the negative reading and instead interprets the phrase (vs. 17) positively – “The Law came through Moses; (and) grace and truth comes through Jesus Christ” - then the text will begin to flow organically. In this case, it will be connected with the previous confession by the Gospel’s author that grace was given in addition to the grace already provided. (16“For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.”) Perhaps a translation that can help us get rid of this inbred dichotomy would go like this: “For the Torah was given through Moses and grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” The moment we see that Greek Nomos (νόμος) does not need to be translated as “law,” or could be translated as Law only in the sense of the Torah of Moses, then more interpretive options become available.

"Messianic Jews" from a Torah perspective, which by the way, is the only authentic Jewish perspective, is a 100% OXYMORON.
It is comparable to something like "day-ish night", or white-ish black, or promiscuous virgin. Belief in a Hellenistic man-G-d is fine for
Christians, but it violates basic elements of red-letter Torah and Emunah (faith, belief). This is a phenomenon of Christian missionaries
hunting and preying on Jewishly ignorant and Hebrew and Aramaic Language-ignorant assimilated Western Jews who were not fortunate
to have what was and still is the normative Jewish Basic education to read and understand basic Jewish material, like the Parashah, the Siddur,
and the Calendar/Holiday cycle. Additionally, these unfortunates never learned the normative basics of what is known as Hashqafah lit. viewpoint,
in Hebrew, but idiomatically more Torah theology and mission statement. So-called "messianic Jews" are unfortunate apostate ignoramouses who
lack basic skiils in applying the godliness of Torah to their lives. I personally know several people who were rescued from this ignorance, and were
restored via receipt of basic Jewish and Hebrew education, as well as integration socially into a friendly Orthodox qehillah (community). I am not
bashing Christianity as an option for Gentiles. Judaism accepts sincere converts but they have to come to us, we do not normally proselytize .
So such people, if they were Jews to begin with (most are not Halakhically Jewish), they are still Jews who have been led/gone astray in foreign
    beliefs inimical to Torah.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messianic_Judaism

Messianic Judaism (Hebrew: יַהֲדוּת מְשִׁיחִית‎ or יהדות משיחית, Yahadút Mešiḥít) is a modernist and syncretic[1] movement of Protestant Christianity[2][3] that incorporates some elements of Judaism and other Jewish traditions[4][5][6][7] into evangelicalism.

It emerged in the 1960s and 1970s from the earlier Hebrew Christian movement,[8] and was most prominently propelled through the non-profit organization "Jews for Jesus"[9][10] founded in 1973 by Martin "Moishe" Rosen, an American minister under the Conservative Baptist Association.[11][12]

Evangelical Protestants who identify as Messianic Jews believe that Jesus (referred to by the Hebrew-language name Yeshua among adherents) is the Jewish Messiah prophesied in the Hebrew Bible, and that the Hebrew Bible (or Old Testament) and the New Testament are the authoritative scriptures of mankind.[13][14] Salvation in Messianic Judaism is achieved only through the acceptance of Jesus as one's saviour,[10][15][16] and not through adherence to Jewish rabbinical law.[15][16] Belief in Jesus as a messianic figure and as divine (i.e. God the Son) is considered by Jews to be one of the most defining distinctions between Judaism and Christianity.[17][18][19]

Among other evangelical groups, Messianic Judaism is usually accepted as a form of Christianity.[20] However, adherents of Messianic Judaism believe that the movement is instead a form of Judaism.[21] In the Hebrew language, they tend to identify themselves with the terms maaminim (מאמינים, lit. 'believers') and yehudim (יְהוּדִים‬‎‎, lit. 'Jews') in opposition to being identified as notzrim (נוצרים, lit. 'Christians').[a][22] Jewish organizations inside and outside of Israel reject this framing; the Supreme Court of Israel has also rejected this claim in cases related to the Israeli Law of Return, and Messianic Judaism is recognized only as a Christian movement in the country.[17][23] In this context, there is discourse among scholars as to whether Messianic Judaism should be labeled a Jewish or Christian religious sect.[24]

So they are yet another American Evangelical Protestant sect and a kooky one, whose members are converted Jews but who retain some Judaic traditions in their worship. They are really just Christian Jews, but because they have their own houses of worship and organization and have retained some traditions and rituals, they think they are Jews religiously and of course ethnically as well, but who believe in Jesus.

Messianic Judaism is absurd, as every sane Jew who accepted the New Testament and Jesus Christ as Saviour should become Christian, like apostle Paul.
