Being a single mother tells absolutely nothing about someone's position on abortion. Majority of women who use abortions are married women who already have 2,3 kids. Statistics shows that.

Men don't like raising other men's children. Men are genetically repulsed by other men's genes. Men are also not kosher with being the #2 guy in a woman's life, let alone playing second fiddle to some other guy's kid. And unless the woman was a widow, being a single mom is indicative of poor decision making in the past.

Admittedly, an older man may not have the luxury to pine for, let alone, hold out for a childless woman. Over time most women will have children and with a 50% divorce rate single moms are an inevitability in every middle-aged man's life. But for younger men who are yet to be married, as well as young women who are not at menopause's door, it is perfectly reasonable and self-respecting to demand your future wife not have another man's kid.

Unfortunately, what a man wants is not what he is going to get these are two different things as nearly 40% of single women between the ages of 18-35 are single moms. Worse, the better looking a woman is the higher percent chance she has a kid in tow (this phenomenon was particularly noticeable when surveying online dating profiles in rural areas). The fact is, whether a man likes it or not, beautiful women attract handsome men and the result is children. Sometimes these people stay married, sometimes they don't, sometimes they were never married at all. But the end result is the average young man today is looking at a dating pool where 4 in every 10 women have some other guy's kid.

Today more and more women chose single motherhood on purpose, they just want to have a child, but don't want the man (I don't support that tho, it's eww and exploative of a man). Many had a spouse die, or whatever.

Also, men are not encouraged enough to be emotionally invested in their children. Either they should "act like a man" and bring in all the cash, or they are fully absent, both of whom I believe are not fulfilling for the children.

I believe a father should be emotionally close to his children. It's not odd for a man to be that, but in society they are told that it's not normal.
From my experience, the most masculine men are are some of the most caring men.

Why avoid dating single moms? You are already aware of their position on abortion: they won't have one. Don't take a chance with paying child or spousal support. Her children will always come first in her life not you. Why support another man's mistake? How do you know she's not looking for a support figure or someone to support her financially? Consider all of it, and you'll see that the deck is stacked against you. She has already made one error. She will not attempt the Hail Mary. The last guy didn't stick around. Why should you?

This isn't to say that some of them aren't very nice, have been screwed over by ex-husbands, or would be very great mates. But if you're just looking to get laid, they are a definite off-limits. More than likely, you're hooking up with a woman who wants another try at something she messed up the first time. With the hostility of today's legal system towards men, you just don't want to take the chance.

Even if they weren't the children's biological fathers, the courts have required some men to pay child support to their ex-wives. For many years, this financially destroys the men, making it impossible for them to start a new life with another lady or enjoy their earnings.

I somewhat agree, but you have to look into the background of a single mother. Is she single because the man loved changed?
Or is she single because she was always promiscuous cheating or picking bad personalities or is toxic?

Can she cook? Is she willing to work at least part time?

Also for the mother her children should always come before you.

Same as a father if you are seperated. My child would always be first before woman I am just dating

The part of child support is where you make the strongest arguements.
Lets be real the game is rigged in child custody and child support.
