Well, a person may look Steppe-white, but if the nips are not pink, the genitals not pink or ivory, that person's ancestors have sufficiently mixed with non-P.I.E.s to alter these hues.

I'm speaking specifically of the half moon but blue fingernails can be caused by the cold, or a medical issue.
