Are Georgians white (or maybe even considered european)?

Here in Spain the average people know little or directly nothing about Georgia. 99´9% of Spaniards would be unable to locate Georgia in a map (me included), let alone knowing something about that country or its peoples. If anything, people would say it is in Asia or Russia and already, so I dont think my average countryman would consider them as European.

It's complicated. Georgians often can look quite Balkan/Hellenic/Italian, but they don't cluster with other Europeans. Then again, Sardinians don't either. Then again, Georgian culture can be quite similar to other European countries. So I'm tempted to say yes, but I don't know.

Sardinians are by far genetically closest to other Europeans, they are fully European genetically, just isolates.
Georgians are northwest West Asians, closer to Turks and Iranians than to any Europeans.

Georgia isn't even geographically European. It's not comparable.
