    Living in Argenigga, I'd say:
1, Uruguay obviously. No reason for them to be an actual country, people call it "La Provincia" as a joke but there's no real reason for their independence other than British tinkering in Brazilian-Argentinian conflict.
    2. Paraguay and Bolivia. A lot of immigration nowadays and in regions like the Misiones/Corrientes/Formosa and Salta/Chaco/Jujuy respectively, it's hard to see the difference between the two .
    3. Brazil. Especially the south. A lot of mutual interest other than the football rivalry.
    4. Chile. Mutual hatred.

    As a Brazilian I'd say

    Uruguay
    Argentina
    Paraguay
    France
    Bolivia
    Peru
    Colombia
    Venezuela
    Guiana
    Suriname

I have no clue. I'm not Argentinian, I met very few Chileans and they feel very different from Argies. But I should put Brazil at last really. I have the bias of seeing a lot more similarities between us, as I actively look for those. Jacques, Almafuerte or Ruggery will be more accurate.

For Brazil we are an island really, most people live very far from borders. I'd agree with Jgab but would put Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina in the same pot really.

Yeah, after Paraguay, there's no real comparison we actually don't even know most of the other neighbors, Uruguay is higher because of Cis and Argentina is in the middle, because of football.

Paraguay is similar to the western border of Brazil which is very different from Bahia for example.

Nah. Austria doesn't have much in common with Czechia, despite for the similar crappy cuisine. And they still despise us. They probably forgot about the times when we fed them our bread, while they were starving. Disregarding that, then still Poland is much closer to us culturally.

Czech Republic had German immigration, so the closest would be Hungary?
