I personally don't think that indian are obsessed with Euro looking or white because indian actors who are popular look normal indian. Euro looking indian actors exist because Euro looking indian exist. as for product for making you fairer it is not because of European but because most successful people in India are upper caste and they usually are lighter and rich people spend less time outside. But Indians usually don't find very pale skin attractive. I know one girl who was bullied because she had super pale skin. I think that this skin color is more common among middle Eastern or east Asian.

Chances are the boy's hair and maybe even skin will darken over time. Although rarer in South Asia, I have seen quite a few MENA children with light features, but the adults almost always have dark hair and eyes, though on the other hand skintone is more variable. Also, while it is true that Bollywood casts a disproportionate number of lighter-skinned actors (though certainly not all of them are), I haven't seen any with hair that isn't dark brown or raven black.
