Who would think that Bonnie Tyler would have a better time in France or Germany than in Denmark.
    https://www.yfull.com/tree/E-BY7449/
    E-V22 - E-BY7449 - E-BY7566 - E-FT155550
According to oral family tradition E-FT155550 comes from a deserter of Napoleon's troops (1808-1813) who stayed in Spain and changed his surname.

On an individual level I think it is between Denmark and France.

France is too dark, and Denmark is too light. Germany is Goldilocks; it's just right.

Like 15 out of 100 English people look straight out of NorthWest-Germany/Frisia and 5% Denmark/Northern-Germany then ) 5% Norwegian and 8% straight out of Sweden. However, these looks are all straight Barbarian invader looks. The real English are some kind of mutt like this (perhaps with somewhat lighter more 'mousy' brown hair and light mixed eyes but necessarily blue):

Ethnicity : English --with French, English, Scottish ancestry with a small amount of German :

    John Cleese :

Please note I could be biased because my grandmother looked more like Lily James and my ancestry is Irish or Scottish, English, French and German and I don't look East Anglian but either Welsh/SouthWest English or perhaps a dark Scottish type

Scythia, the Saca = Saxons = seax = "long knife, sword", also Scot = Scyth, all etymologically speaking, of course, the meaning being the long knives or the swordsmen, cognate with scythe, sickle and saw. Grim Reapers wielding scythes, so to speak. All from *sek, "to cut".

I think Denmark is more homogenous, i can't see many British people with brunn, keltic or alpine looks really passing there while in France and Germany they could all pass there probably.
