I'd move Swiss Germans and Austrians above the French on the list.

I'm surprised someone voted for France at all.

Northern French are much closer to Brits than Swiss or Austrians.

No, they are too alpinised, they are probably closer to the Swiss than they are to the central French.

My comment is about Northern French being closer to the Brits than the Swiss and Austrians being closer to the Brits. The alpine element is less visible in the north than central and south do to a slightly stronger Germanic influence.

I remember going through a thread where you posted Denmark footballers, and apart from one or two they looked very much like Englishman in the face. And I was going through the players, and I was like, yeah he looks exactly like this guy I know, or he looks very English. I have also been to Denmark and I did notice how they were much more light haired than the English, but most Danes could move to England, and people would presume they were ethnically English, and the same for light haired Englishman who moved to Denmark. Just because they look so much alike in the face.

Germans have similar hair colour to us, but they do look different in the face IMO.

The English? To me, I’d say (northern) Germany and Denmark. Nevertheless, a visible minority passes in (northern) France.
