Metal can be stunningly beautiful and diverse. It is way, way more diverse than pop music for instance, both musically and lyrically.

But some are ignorant of that.

3 is too narrow, so I list four that I listen the most often (at the moment):

Russian rock late 80s-90s-early 2000s.
New wave/postpunk/gothic rock/synthpop 80-90s.
Trance (+ vocal) 90s-mid 2000s.
Synthwave/retrowave 2020s.

The 3 most rarely listened genres are rap (especially with elements of glamour and "beautiful" life), any kind of "brutal" black/death/viking metal, modern pop.

I'm jumping in here. I really love the hypnotic Jean Michael Jarre

I agree, this album is pure classic and 10/10. Was used in tons of TV and radio intros. Probably the best by far from Jarre' discography.
