This map doesn't show acceptance of mass migration, but migration generally. Top countries like Canada, Australia or New Zealand have strict principles and mostly promote migration of qualified people. Same counts for Island, which isn't even the main target for any migrant. I heard a lot of cases where Canada was hiring scientists from Germany, they have a strict migration policy comparing to many European countries. Countries who dont want migrants are mostly those who are faced with a refugee crisis, no one who studied or qualified would want to migrate to North Macedonia.

On the other hand, I dont know whether it makes sense to talk about maps created by some strangers from the web.

What are the questions asked? South Korea and Japan scored high in acceptance, and I seriously doubt that is accurate. I would like to see the three questions. They and perhaps people of other nations may have understood the questions asked differently than others because of cultural differences. For example, one of the questions could be: "Would you treat a foreigner as a guest?" A North Macedonian might say no; he's an intruder. The Japanese person would say yes, but that doesn't mean the Japanese fellow wants you there. They're just following the cultural norm of their society on how to behave toward other people. The Japanese fellow may be as much against mass immigration as the North Macedonian.

The Japanese, as long as they do not offend, can without any problem say the opposite of what they think.

I would love to see what those questions were, sometimes the questions are formulated in such a way that the answer is directed towards what we want to hear.

I highly doubt that yellow societies like China, South Korea and Japan have high acceptance of mass immigration, this study sounds bs.

But if this is the case, then japanese ppl are not wrong about creating revulsion against immigrants, i wanted Brazil to follow this example.
