How it looks it's a matter of money spent on transportation and local infrastructure, and that is not a good proxy of the overall economic development.

Hungary has almost twice the sales tax compared to Romania and twice the public sector, so yes it does look somewhat better, but otherwise Hungary and Romania have very similar economies, with an emphasis on automotive sector, electronic parts and software development.

Romania got rid of the socialist virus as well as many other Eastern European countries with the fall of the USSR, congratulations to Romania, a country that has not been afraid to take risks, adopted economic liberalization measures and consolidated its industry. Meanwhile in Portugal we are governed by the same socialists as 30 years ago, the economy has stagnated for decades, no risks are taken and in top of that the people continue to give them the absolute majority. Portugal has what it deserves, receives billions of European funds and has not yet left the tail of Europe when other countries that were poorer and joined after have already surpassed us.

How it looks is very important thing. If something looks like a shithole, it most likely is. And by looks I don't mean only a facades or road quality, I also mean about how villages look, are they clean or dirty, are parks and gardens tidy, is it full of stray dogs and drug users or not.

With the exception of the Dalmatian coast, Croatia looks no different than Romania to Westerners eyes.

Rural Slavonia looks very much like rural Transylvania. So do commie cities. Get off your high horse.

Croatia will always be the west for Romania. I wouldn't be trolling them tho if Romanian member didn't insult Croatia yesterday, frustrated with our sporting success.

So what, the same is true for Portugal. Croatia has taken the Greek model of development, beaches, harbors and not much else. Both Romania and Hungary will be hard to reach by Croatia.

Regarding the game, I will still support Croatia. Brazil is the 800 pound gorilla in soccer, with the largest player base. If Brazil doesn't produce good soccer then who else.

    Nah.

We have serious IT sector and weapons industry. Romania will be hard to reach by Croatia...in what, number of people without toalet? Lol.

Romania is two levels below Hungary and Croatia was between the two but Hungary brutaly sank in last two years. Right now, Croatia is better than both and in the end not a Gypo infested place.

    You're delusional.

Romania has 150,000 software developers working in Romania, but twice that if we consider those who work abroad.

Croatia has about 10,000 developers. It's not comparable, not by a long shot. Croatia is just insignificant.

But Croatia has a big advance and this is the beautiful mediterranean coast, islands etc. Absolutely breathtaking to see it from Hungary what is the ugliest country in Europe, i mean the hungarian landscape. When i have been to Dalmatia for first time, i thought its Caribbean or something like that. This area has huge tourism potential.
The future of Hungary and Romania is very dark because of these stupid sanctions.
