they were Christianized, but they were still persecuted like new Christians (Jews converted to Catholicism) and so they ended up fleeing to North Africa, while the Jews remained until the discovery of America, where they went mainly to Mexico, Cuba and the Northeast of the Brazil, and that is why there are very few remnants of Moorish dna in the Iberian peninsula, the current Iberians are genetically pretty much the same since the end of Roman times.
In fact mostly NA dna in Iberia comes from early Roman times, by the contact of mixed romans with berbers and with phoenician invaders.

I get about 10 percent on FTDNA and a substantial score of central European and no Iberian. Ftdna autosomal isn't good,
