Why those specifically?

Kosovo has a team that is fairly surprising for its size and short life span. It would have been even better if some Kosovar players like Shaqiri and Xhaka had chosen to play for Kosovo instead of their host country but at the time Kosovo did not yet have an official national team. North Macedonia almost managed to qualify this year, they beat Italy and only lost their way to the World Cup because of Portugal. Most of the former Yugoslav countries show some quality football, some more often, others more irregularly but I think it is a matter of time before they eventually qualify, not least because the next edition will have 48 teams. Cape Verde is a similar case to Kosovo, if some of their best players chose to play for Cape Verde instead of other national teams they would probably have one of the best squads from Africa (surprisingly given their size). Venezuela is shocking considering the size of the country and being South American, you'd think they'd have already made it. Even Bolivia has already managed to go to a world cup. But as I said before, with the enlargement to 48 countries, it's quite possible that we'll see Venezuela in the World Cup one day.

I don't know much about the other three, but Venezuela is a very baseball-focused country (same with Nicaragua, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic, which have never qualified either).
