    Xz0 is delusional. He relies on Noel Malcolm but Noel cannot explain why the first Norman/Berber tribe were named Rabanasi by Serbs? This Raban had a metathesis shift to ARban, Shqiptarised to ARBER. Just like the Shqiptars in Greece called Arvanites who this original name given by Serbs to call this Shqiptar tribe RABANASI was transformed by Greeks through a similar metathesis shift from RABAN to ARBAN then the B was changed to Greek V so the result is ARVAN = ARVANITES.

    @Rothaer

    ''In 1660 Çelebi went to Kosovo and referred to the central part of the region as Arnavud (Albanian) (آرناوود) and noted that in Vushtrri its inhabitants were speakers of Albanian or Turkish and few spoke Bosnian.[18] The highlands around the Tetovo, Peja and Prizren areas Çelebi considered as being the "mountains of Arnavudluk (Albania)".[18] Çelebi referred to the "mountains of Peja" as being in Arnavudluk (Albania) (آرناوودلق) and considered the Ibar river that converged in Mitrovica as forming Kosovo's border with Bosnia.[18] He viewed the "Kılab" or Llapi river as having its source in Arnavudluk (Albania) and by extension the Sitnica as being part of that river.[18] Çelebi also included the central mountains of Kosovo within Arnavudluk (Albania).''

    Not sure what you are trying to say about peoples ''self rule'' here, German ? Since when do you ask people who invaded and occupied a part of your country for self rule and now claim it as theirs ? Mass expulsion , murdered civillians , colonized it, stole peoples property etc

    ^ even by the 17th century Shqiptars were a minority, relying on Shqiptarisation of Serbs.

    Have you heard of Turkish cadastral tax census (defter)? If you have, your Shqiptars only made up roughly 0.25% of the population (15th cent).

    That person is a mentally unstable nut job for sure , believe it or not this person certainly has a fetish for you Serbs and Russians . Her boyfriend used to be Serb too. Goes around here stealing Albanian history and telling Serbian propaganda to the audience here, especially regarding the events of 1690 , I think this nutjob pretty much lost all her credibility as there is certainly nothing that suggests this territory was Serb until 1690 . That territory was Albanian even before that. Can larp and larp about that all you want but not much is ever going to change the truth. Even South-Eastern Serbia used to be Albanian.

    As for integral territory, I wouldn't exactly call an area where you expelled 60k-100k from the Sanjak of Nish and then occupied illegally an Albanian Kosovo as integral territory . This was just some autonomous province of Yugoslavia, really.

    These people were either brought into Serbia or were Shqiptarised/Albanianised…….remember Ottoman Empire? Don’t you know Shqiptars illegally entered into Drac, Serbia at 1043AD. Marjorie Chibnall, who is an expert on all things Norman, says the name ALBANIA means ones who don’t have jurisdiction one the land they inhabit.

I'm condemning that arbitrary and hypocritical Nato war and intervention in Kosovo but I'd find it fair if the Albanians would gouvern themselves in those 90% of Kosovo that is inhabited by them.

    The main question is what consequences out of history are to be accepted and what not. If I got the Serb view right, it says that the exodus of Serbs from Kosovo in 1690 was a very unrightful thing caused by the Ottoman conditions. I understand this view.

    But how then to assess the respective Serbian gains out of the same process like settlement areas in the military frontier and the gain of the whole Vojvodina, without being contradictory? I think that one can not claim both at the same time, the Vojvodina because of the Serbs are there since 1690 and Kosovo because the Serbs were there before 1690 (simplified). (I actually think you made a pretty good deal with the ethnic swap between Kosovo and Vojvodina, but that's another story.)
    This is actually a very reasonable post and anyone who insults you certainly has to apologize to you or they have misunderstood you.

    You can read about that 1690 here, https://archive.org/details/rebels-b...e/134/mode/1up

    the author claims majority of the refugees did not come from Kosovo except for some of the eastern parts which had a large Slavic population because he argues large part of Kosova was Albanian even back then. Yes that Vojvodina part is interesting , especially interesting how they took Hungarian territory where they settled as Ottoman refugees . Or maybe it's not that interesting but just what chetniks do.
