    I also love the way Space - as if made Sacred or as if to depict life in Divine Grace is painted in Golden colour in the many Orthodox icons.

    Often the icons with the hymns spoke to people more directly than the spoken word.
    Words/mentally created concepts can divide, but the Light and the Reverence created by the hymns united.

    The chants are beautiful! It appeals to me as well, I am postponing my conversion to proper orthodoxy for years, protestant and evangelical churches made me agnostic for many years, and I refuse the catholic church.
