We know that the repopulation of reconquista by the christians settlers in abandoned areas of al-andalus was big, and bcs of that repopulation and the expulsation of Moriscos Iberians today have almost none DNA from Al-Andalus, but the question comes: "from where this settlers were from?" The place which today is Galicia?

It was more longitudinal-based. Southern and Central Portuguese got mostly Galician, North Portuguese, and Leonese. Central Spain down to south-central Andalusia got mostly from Cantabria, Basques... and that is the same for eastern Spain down to south-eastern Andalusians, who also got mostly Catalonians. Then as well, and especially andalusians got French, and other non-iberian european groups.

    5. Origin of the repopulators

The majority of the repopulators came from Castile and to a lesser extent from Leon, Asturias and Galicia, where the number of free peasants was smaller. León, Asturias and Galicia, where the number of free peasants was smaller. number of Aragonese was also small, but there were many Catalans who participated in the participated in the conquest as crossbowmen and those who settled in Seville as artisans and merchants, artisans and merchants, which were craftsmen and merchants, professions that were also exercised by Franks, Italians and Jews.

    6. Conclusion

As we have seen throughout this article, the work of reconquest and repopulation of the southern reconquest and repopulation of the southern peninsular to the detriment of the Muslim neighbor, were two processes that became the main objectives for the Christian monarchs of the north. Christian monarchs of the north. First Ferdinand III the Saint, and later, his son, Alfonso X the Wise, marked during the 13th century the route to follow for the conquest of the Muslim kingdoms in the south of the peninsula. Muslim kingdoms of the south of the peninsula. In this way, Christianity entered the Andalusian area, at the Christianity, by the hand of monarchs far superior to their enemies.

You can bet your life that South Portuguese, and South Spaniards too, dont descend from the Pre-Roman tribes that lived there, and I found very hilarious, and pathetic, when some Andalusians claim they descend from Tartessians.

For example, current Andalusians are living in Andalusia only since the XIII century (in the furthest case), when their North Spaniards ancestors arrived there.
