How much can someone from Dublin relate to an Irish-American from south Boston or San Diego?
There are differences, no doubt. Americans have their own vibe to the point where Irish Americans and Polish Americans seem like they're in the same tribe while the Irish and the Polish are in distinct tribes of their own, so it must be something in the water.

Is that a real photo? I get Conor, but I don't get Drake, and he's supposedly the Michael Jackson of the '10s, and I *definitely* don't get *that*.

Nope. Some bright spark photoshopped it.

There's quite a few of them around.

No harm done. That's what I get for having women in my family going for non-British isles heretics.

They must be great mattresses. If not, Conor and Drake could sue him for defamation.

My Maternal Grandma is probably more than half Irish if we count Scots-Irish and she models as such, and both my Dads Mom and Dads Dad had some Scots-Irish. But my Moms Dad had nothing that wasn't English or Welsh, and I think overall I'm less than 15%. I do get ~25% on Ancestry and FTDNA but I think it's coming from gaelic-like ancestry in England overlap, and that some of my ENWE on Ancestry is actually German.

It's a part of my ancestry and made a big impression on my moms mom, my cousins are also more than 70% considering their dad is fully Irish. But I don't think I can really claim it. English and German are by far my major ancestries.

I'm part Irish, but come to think of it I don't recall even a single pure-blooded Irishman on this forum. How curious!

Many Ulster Scottish match if their forebears came from western Scotland. The Gaelic chickens came home to roost.

I remember as a kid thinking I was Scots-Irish or Scottish because that's what my dad told me. I was kind of disappointed to find out it wasn't very much after going to the Celtic festival with my dad to watch his friend play bagpipes in our state every couple years or so. I'm still gonna go though to enjoy that food.

All of the Irish *men* split. Grace is a fully Irish (by descent) woman, but she lives in the Land Down Under (cue Men At Work).
