I think that Cyprus will never unite as long as the UK exists because it is a geopolitical game.

A divided cyprus is good for the UK, because they can have their army there and they close to Asia, Africa

There are no Greek Cypriots, because Cyprus is not Greece. Cretans are Greeks, Cretans live in Greece, but Greek-speaking Cypriots are not Greeks, but only speak this language.

Similarly, Turkish Cypriots are not Turks but only speak Turkish. They are all Cypriots, not Turks and Greeks!

Cyprus would never unify because numerous attempts have been proposed for reunification, all of which had failed. It is an offshore banana island used to register companies for tax evasion and money laundering, and nobody wants it unified with anything, the only reason why Northern Cyprus is still recognised by Turkey under the guise of protecting ethnic Turkish minorities in Cyprus is discovery of natural gas, giving Turkey new assets and power out of nowhere, and in the case of war it would be much easier to keep it secure (like little Donetsk's and Luhansk's).

Not true. Britain gave Cyprus back to the locals in 1960. No sooner had Britain withdrawn from Cyprus, the Turks invaded and began ethnically displacing the locals by settling their own there, but with the obvious exception of the territories retained by Britain. In fact Britain has two bases in Cyprus to stop the Turks taking over the rest of the island. One in Akrotiri and the other is Dhekelia.
