Nice – Z propaganda video about ‘how-good-is-life-in-Russia.’
Sorry not good at classifications.
Don’t know about Cossack identity, but ‘Westerners’ however seem to want to be something they are not, or think that they can just choose to be what they want to be.

Swiss Amerind.
Swiss Cossack.
Etc. etc.
“A Swiss man with a soul of an Amerind or a Russian” …
Larping makes me cringe.

What's wrong about interviews with foreigners who are interested in Russia and know Russia and move here permanently? It's not even about some "living standard" or "prosperity" (seems like it's the only what matters for some Europeans and especially Northern ones) but desire to live the lifestyle he wishes and to do what the person wants. I see no flaws in idea when some foreigner comes here and buys a homestead in deep province.
Lowering the standard of the country can make you benefit from other stuff. I lived years in Serbia just like lots of Russians do long before the war, you can buy property, homesteads, farms for funny money there. Lots of people from Russian province here who could not afford something in Russia moved to Serbia buying something 5-10 times cheaper than in Russia. I'm sure lots of those foreigners interviewed on the channel could not afford the same things in their Switzerlands, Englands and Germanies so coming to Russia was a way to it + there are really significant differencies in lifestyle they probably enjoy.
Btw i've met a lot of foreigners in Serbia who preferred it to own land. One of my neighbours in Novi Sad, Serbia was a German guy Karsten from Karlsruher, a programmer who married Serbian girl, first they lived in Germany, but then they moved to Serbia, buying a good house. He says that Germany is boring, he prefers Serbian climate, food, he said people are autist in his place and in Novi Sad he feels everyday healthy socialization. So, you see, German guy with money prefers lower standard country for the sake of mental comfort and own preferences.
By the way, I would never voluntary move to Western countries, except Russia I'd comfortably live in Balkans or Argentina/Uruguay.

Actually, you are right …
Even though I have associated this ‘freedom’, as if to be able to “shop” for gender or ethnicity identities with the Western “New Age” and in general do not see fantasy costume dress-ups & role playing evil nor satanic as such – it seems Russians as well as Ukrainians have really taken to larping Cossacks with a purpose.
A black African might not make a convincing Kievan Rus, but he can always become a Russian Cossack it seems:
Looked into the Cossack history a bit and the more recent ‘Cossack revival’ in both countries, Russia and Ukraine, which was interesting.
