There is a minimum, but dating a girl with an average IQ is the worst actually, you get every average borring interests a girl can have, with meaningless conversations and she will be intelligent enough to also become annoying.
Airhead level can even be attracting and a lot more fun on daily basis (if physic follows), and sometimes they end up having a different type of intelligence, or it's a roleplay and they are actually very intelligent. Never intellectually underestimate bimbos is what i learned.

Understandably so. But I'd rather talk about life in general than to get into "academic, high IQ" conversations, that's what I meant mostly. Those often come from places of ego and midwit. The chess part a bad example, I tried to use something commonly related to intelligent people. Playing games with a significant other is very fun actually.
I'm hostile to the idea of caring much about IQ because I'm not a big fan of it, as it leads people into determinism and ignores that there is a whole set of tools, heritage, habits and emotions that involve the making of a person and their path in life. Nassim Taleb's article is interesting on making a point against its efficiency at all.
I hope my posts weren't contradictory mental diarrhea, but my veredict on the subject is that: I don't care about IQ in itself, but "intelligence", that would be, depth of thoughts and conversations, has its importance in the wide array of factors that lead into a successful life partnership. And at the end of the day we don't make our choices as analytically as that on the real world. Passion is opposite to rationality.

The main points would be: Physical attraction, moral and family values, sensible beliefs, emotional intelligence and IQ. I see that many scholars try to boil everything down to IQ points, this is not correct.
Low IQ people seem to me to make a lot of mistakes, stupid beliefs, lazy, affected by social fashions in many cases will be a headache to live with.
If your ideal woman is a woman note 1000 or wonder woman, you seem problematic and egocentric.
