No country falls from within when it has a strong leader. I'll never understand this perspective of dictators, because all the dictatirs that were ever killed by a "revolution" in reality were killed by foreign actors inserted from outside, like Mussolini, Gaddafi, etc. All revolutions are stage plays by foreign agents or powerful groups to try and knock an empire down a peg. Even our own revolution was the work of a handful of rich northerner ideaologists.

I'm not one of them. Putin was not hated here. He visited regularly in Finland, maybe more than enywhere else, but things went wrong after he started to call for buffer zones. We have bad experiences about such talks.

I am well aware that russophobia runs strongly in Finland, but especially in the Baltics and Poland. These countries are to blame to a great extent for the anti Russian attitudes in the EU, and they should never have been accepted into NATO. It's going to cause a nuclear war on European soil. I warned about this since more than 10 years ago. Back then people laughed at me and said this was not possible, and that unbridled Russophobia was not dangerous for Europe -- Russia would collapse soon, long before it becomes dangerous. Now, these people are not laughing anymore and they have gone quiet.

You generalize. Would you be happy with Hitler's dictatorship in Europe?

The war merely gave them an excuse to live out their hatred for Russia and Putin without bounds and without having to justify themselves.

As for traditional values etc, sure that's one of the reasons why Putin is a good leader. But it's much more than that.

When did I talk about my happiness? I said that strong leader at the very least does not cause his country to collapse from inside. Good or evil. Hitler was a strong leader and understood how to use his power to maintain a hold on his country. Nazi Germany would not have collapsed without the war, which was his biggest blunder. I don't say that it was good or bad for the people living there, but had he been more careful in how he fought his war he could have ended up with a germany no longer weighed down by the treaty of versailles. As it is, I'm glad he didn't win the war because America and the English speaking world would be lost. I don't like his attitude towards the rest of europe. But he was a strong and mostly effective leader. Otherwise we would have seen Germany collapse before it ever reached WW2.

Then what has gotten into Finns then? Why do they follow the russophobes and believe in everything they say? Surely Finland and Russia were peaceful neighbors now for many years. Why jeopardize all that and become enemies again? I think your president is gullible and immature, and irresponsible.
