Who is lighter, Iberians or Caucasus peoples?

Enough with Italians, Greeks and Slavs being pitted against Iberians (and vice versa)! Surely you'd equally find light and dark types in southern europe! I want to try a completely different region now - The Caucasus, both the north and the south. They're on the far ends of the Europe spectrum (if one wants to include the Caucasus in Europe, as it sometimes is!) and they're roughly on the same latitude with the people being...well... caucasians. So a fair game.



For the ignorants, Iberia comprises Spain and Portugal. The Caucasus includes Georgia, Armenia, Chechnya, Circassia, Ossetia, Dagestan, Adygea (some of which are part of Russia) and even areas of northern Azerbaijan and northwestern Iran.

I think some Caucasus groups are lighter like Lezgins and Circassians though the majority are very woppy

most caucasians even darker than northern/western turks. i don’t know iberians but it’s probably the same. but iberians clearly lighter than azeris or armenians for example.

North/ western Turks lighter than southern caucasians like Armenians and azeris , yes but Georgians and northern Caucasians are lighter .

georgians are not lighter than northern/western turks. i’m already partly georgian i have family members from both ethnicities.

Verdict: It's a tie.

North Caucasians share the same pigmentation as Iberians although they look nothing like. Armenians are clearly darker than both.

Iberians are lighter than Georgians, Armenians, Udi, and Azerbaijanis.
