I am not Kurdish, but why can’t people live peacefully with each other? I know many Kurds and we are good friends, I don’t understand how people can hate someone for having another ethnic or political identity.

Ahead of the game, fans on the grandstand began chanting slogans when Amedspor players took to the field to warm up. Tensions also rose between the players of the two teams.

While Amedspor players were returning to the locker room, fans on the stands threw various objects at them, including plastic bottles and firecrackers.

Selahattin Yıldırım, president of Amedspor, told bianet, "Throughout the game, objects including knives, bullets, pieces of iron, and water bottles were thrown onto the field, the referee almost waited for someone to die, he did not stop the game."

I don’t understand how people can hate someone for having another ethnic or political identity.

It's not as simple as hating each other for having a different ethnicity, color, political identity or whatever. What Turks and Kurds did to each other in past has deep roots, and neither the Kurds nor the Turks are innocent in it. However, glorifying terrorism and their cocksuckers has it's consequences.

I'm not trying to justify Bursaspor fans but first they stoned the Bursaspor bus in Diyarbakır in the first match. And we all know what the fuck Amed fans are doing. Unfurling the flag of Kurdistan in stadium, making Apo and PKK chants etc.

Interpreting this issue from one side is disgusting. I'm totally agree with Demirkazık. It's not the fault of one side, it's the fault of both.

Football fans who sat in front of their televisions on Sunday evening to watch a game between Bursaspor in western Turkey and Amedspor, from Diyarbakır, witnessed violence and the chanting of anti-Kurdish slogans against Amedspor, with tensions always running high during matches between the two clubs.

Not only Bursaspor fans but also the team’s players and personnel were involved in the physical and verbal attacks on the players and fans of Amedspor before and after the match in Bursa.

Media reports claimed Bursaspor fans threw a variety of objects including knives, bullets and water bottles onto the pitch before the match began, while chanting racist slogans against Kurds.

The Amedspor Instagram account went live, showing the moment Bursaspor’s players stormed the pitch before the game, starting a fight with their opponents. The account later posted footage of the brawl, calling the incident an “attack” on their team by the Bursaspor players.

Amedspor’s goalkeeper, who is actually a Turk, was slightly injured when hit by one of the objects thrown by Bursaspor fans onto the field.

In a move that attracted widespread criticism and condemnation, some Bursaspor fans waved controversial banners and posters during the match representing the extrajudicial killings and abductions that had taken place in Turkey’s southeast during the 1990s, at the height of the Turkish-Kurdish conflict.

On some of the posters was a white Toros car used in the 1990s by the Gendarmerie Intelligence and Anti-Terrorist Units (JİTEM) to abduct people they later killed.

Others held up posters of Mahmut Yıldırım, known by his code name “Yeşil” [Green]. Yıldırım, a sinister character in Turkey’s recent history, was a contract killer used by JİTEM in various operations, before he disappeared in 1998.

Pkk is forbidden, like Turkish right wing extremist groups here. If there is something which is objectively wrong, I would call it wrong regardless what you are, Kurd or Turk. No one says you are barbarians, but the way how Turkish government and society treat Kurds shouldn’t be ignored. Of course not everyone is like this, many Turks and Kurds married with each other, have families and children. This doesn’t mean anything when most Turks dislike Kurds, I can see how people look at Kurds if they speak Kurdish in Turkiye. Turkish racism is worse than the racism of German neo-Nazis, and has a wide spread. A lot of people say I am a proud racist in Turkey.

I can see how people look at Kurds if they speak Kurdish in Turkiye. Turkish racism is worse than the racism of German neo-Nazis, and has a wide spread. A lot of people say I am a proud racist in Turkey.

While Turkish racism is mostly verbal, what those Germans did to Jews aren't. Even the most heated Turkish-Kurdish conflict cannot be compared to Nazi Germany or Russia.

About language: Yes, some people have unnecessary worries, but I think a Kurd should be able to speak Kurdish freely.
