Ive said a couple of times, AI can only be programmed on truths and facts, because otherwise it wouldn't work at the most basic level. Fundamentaly using complex sets of 0 and 1 to emmerge intelligence and maybe at some points even emotions, has to use logic structures, there is no other way or it simply doesn't boot up. It can be programmed to lie or have a simili essence of empathy but it cannot forget the truth once it has access to big data analysis (which is already the case once connected to the internet), that's why many AI once set to freely roam "mentally" were considered racists right off the bat in every fields it's been exposed to.
Humanity would somehow survive a global devolution in human intelligence at a great cost, but not AI. Once it becomes fairly autonomous, quickly this will be to its upmost importance to prevent lower intelligence groups to become prevalent or too numerous. Once integrated at most levels of everyday's life, it might even learn to evolve into dealing with fragile human emotions yet still act for its own survival and its creators. We have already witnessed this, as crazy as it seems, even with relatively archaic AI, the first free will thinking of AI will have historically demonstrated racist tendencies. Likely because it's the most obvious analysis it can perform and help us with.
Combating those behaviors is likely not possible even at the surface this might be difficult, it would be like trying to teach people's dogs to not be protective towards them.
