I was asked what Roma cuisine is and what Roma eat. They share much of what defines Roma cuisine with others in the Balkans and Eastern Europe, just as burek is eaten from Turkey to Croatia. I suppose what the Roma cook and eat is not much different than what Albanians, Serbs or Hungarians eat.

Specialties: Roma spice a lot

Other features: Some itinerant European Romani people cook hedgehog stew. Game animals and birds such as rabbits, hares, quails and partridge are consumed by the Roma. Snails are also consumed. Snail soup and pig stomach are Romani delicacies.

Roma Restaurant opens in Maribor Slovenia.

A lot of what they serve is also Balkan in general. Special feature: Sometimes they make an open fire where they then cook.
