    The lucky country.
Nine out of ten concerns are completely unfounded.

Honestly the islands are not for me as big as they are and Russia on the other hand has a retro halo and I think it smells too much of mothballs; although both countries are exceptional and obviously you can not compare a culture like the Russian with the Australian much more modern and standard with a culture as immense as the Russian, in fact Crime and Punishment is my favorite book of all time, I am very simple and commercial so I also like the small and young Australian culture.

I think I would go to the Caucasus or with the Rapa Nui xd

According to oral family tradition E-FT155550 comes from a deserter of Napoleon's troops (1808-1813) who stayed in Spain and changed his surname.

I don’t know where you get your ideas from, but hey – ¾ of my ancestry comes from the now “Russian” Karelia.
Emotionally I am still very attached to the past, especially Viena – a Saami admixed Karelia.

When ‘we’ evacuated to Finland, ‘we’ evacuated with our Russian friends/associates.
I still carry an antique Russian Uschanoff clay pot that I treasure. Nothing ever tasted better than a Karelian Stew cooked in one of those clay pots on a wooden fire … on those huge oven/stove structures gran had - somewhat similar to this:

What we left behind used to be a culturally lively, progressive, productive society, but what I and many relatives returned to witness since the Russian occupation is just too heart-breaking for words.

    Cannot go back.

But in Australia you do have a chance to go back to the oldest continuing living culture in the entire world and to the most modern.

I am very appreciative and grateful for Australia. And at this moment a bit too comfortable materially for my own good perhaps -or at least when compared to Russian Karelians, whom our town’s folk and all relatives in Finland tried to support , similar to “Vasya charity”: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaN...UqcUBpvHx-rwYw
